The CANS Emerging Leaders Committee is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our annual Speaker Series! Despite unpredictable weather, over 80 attendees joined us for an evening of networking and learning.

Dr. Susan Fitzgerald and Alicia McDowell from FBM kicked off the session with an insightful discussion on the innovative design and community impact of Richmond Yards—one of Canada’s largest site remediation and housing projects. With diverse housing options, thriving retail, restaurants, and live/work studios, this development is revitalizing a once-neglected area of the city. Their expertise made for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion, and we are grateful for their contribution.

A special highlight of the evening was our 50/50 raffle, a staple at our events. Proceeds will support Souls Harbour Rescue Mission, an organization dedicated to helping those in need. Thank you to everyone who participated—your generosity makes a real difference.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who attended and contributed to the event’s success. Your support makes these gatherings so impactful.
