On Thursday, July 28, Dr. Robert Strang and Fred Crooks presented on the requirement to wear masks in enclosed public spaces. The presentation reviewed locations impacted by the requirement, as well as exemptions, enforcement and additional resources. Click here to view Dr. Strang’s presentation slides.
It should be noted that the new requirement applies to public spaces and public events. A construction site is NOT a public place under the Health Protection Order and therefore the mandatory mask rule does not apply. However, the Construction Sector Plan does, and it states that masks must be used only when social distancing is not possible.
