Your First Look: Halifax Harbour Bridges Summer Construction and Planned Closures
With $40 million in work and upgrades planned this summer, Halifax Harbour Bridges has released its preliminary schedule of summer construction projects and weekend closures.
There will be ten weekend closures between May 22 and November 1, 2022. A weekend closure starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening and runs through to 5:30 AM on the following Monday morning.
Please note: there will never be a time when both bridges are closed.
CURRENTLY PLANNED CLOSURES:
*Closure dates are dependent on the weather and other factors. Exact details about the closures will be published in the days leading up to the closures. HHB endeavours to do other required maintenance during the closures to ensure maximum use of the traffic-free time.
