Province Seeking Members for Accessibility Standards Committee
The Province is inviting Nova Scotians to help develop employment accessibility standards, the next phase in work toward the province’s goal of making Nova Scotia accessible by 2030. Interested parties can apply to be part of the Employment Standard Development Committee.
NOTE: Half the committee members must be persons with disabilities or representatives of organizations that represent persons with disabilities.

Access by Design 2030 Background:
In 2017 Nova Scotia passed the Act Respecting Accessibility in Nova Scotia. The Accessibility Act aims to make Nova Scotia inclusive and barrier-free by 2030. Access by Design 2030 is the government’s implementation strategy for an accessible Nova Scotia, developed in consultation with persons with disabilities and their families; organizations that provide services to persons with disabilities, the Accessibility Advisory Board, and representatives from a variety of sectors.
