Extending Federal Funding for Infrastructure Projects

Under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) and Public Transit Infrastructure Fund (PTIF) provinces and territories receive an allocation, prioritize eligible projects and submit them for federal funding. Projects are required to be completed by March 31, 2018 (March 31, 2019 in the territories) unless an extension is granted by the Minister of Infrastructure and Communities.
