New Restrictions, Rapid Testing, Mobile Vaccinations
New Restrictions
Given the increase in positive cases of COVID-19 and the introduction of the variant into the Nova Scotia, the provincial government recently announced a number of changes and new restrictions. These restrictions will take effect at 9am on Friday, December 17.
Physical distance and gathering limits are returning to help protect Nova Scotians and the health system over the next few weeks until at least the new year. Mask requirements are also being tightened.
Rapid Testing
Rapid testing kits are now available at libraries across the province. They are packaged in kits of five, and there is a limit of one kit per person. The tests can be used at home for people ages three and up. Anyone who has a positive result need to self-isolate and book a lab-based PCR test at a testing site to confirm the result.
