Summary of New Restrictions For Entire Province
Effective April 28, 2021, at 8:00 a.m., Nova Scotia is on two-week provincial lockdown. Premier Rankin and Dr. Strang reiterated that construction sites remain open as industry is following current public health guidelines.
Some of these restrictions include:
- Nova Scotians can only gather indoors or outdoors with those in their household bubble,
- Households of two or less may socialize with one or two others — provided they are consistent for this two-week period
- No unnecessary travel between communities
- All public and private schools are closed
- Mandatory masking outdoors where physical distancing cannot be maintained
- Mandatory masking in all private indoor workplaces
- Unless otherwise deemed essential, retail stores are closed for in-person service
