P.E.I. plan allows rebate for capital improvements

Small businesses on Prince Edward Island who spend a sizable chunk of money on capital improvements can now apply to the province to get some of their investment back. The provincial government announced the Small Business Investment Grant as part of its 2018 budget. It allows for small businesses who spend up to a maximum of $25,000 on tangible assets to apply and potentially get 15 per cent of their investment back.

Video documentary on Nova Scotia’s featured Gold Seal Project, The Big Lift

Halifax Harbour Bridges embarked on a significant and necessary project in early 2015: the replacement of the suspended spans of the Macdonald Bridge. The project, also known as The Big Lift, aims to extend the life of the bridge and reduce maintenance and is only the second time globally that the suspended spans of a suspension bridge was replaced while keeping the bridge open to traffic. A video documentary of the project was created highlighting the project.
