CANS Emerging Leaders Community Pick-Me-Up Successfully Diverted 50kg of Waste from the Dartmouth Waterfront

CANS Emerging Leaders first Community Pick-Me-Up was a resounding success! It was a perfect sunny afternoon as roughly 40 members of the Emerging Leaders group collected 50 kg of garbage from the Dartmouth Cove area of the Dartmouth Waterfront. That’s more than 100lbs of waste redirected away from our waterways, benefiting our wildlife, strengthening tourism, and ensuring future generations can enjoy the beauty of our province.

June marks Pride month in Canada. To honour the LGBTQ+ folks who work in and are served by the construction industry, CANS is taking a look at the progress of LGBTQ+ community over the past 50 years.
