Q&A
What do you like about working at CANS?
I like our members. Meeting CANS members and helping them to use CANSnet. I love begin part of an industry that shapes our province.
What is your favourite part of your workday?
My favourite part of work is when I get to meet new members and show them what CANS provides for services. I also really enjoy collaborating with other CANS staff on different projects.
What sets CANS apart from your past jobs?
I am passionate about CANS and construction so I feel the connection, especially with CANS membership.
Some of Lesley’s hobbies:
I am a busy mom to a very active 9-year-old boy. We love to be outside and explore our beautiful province by hiking and beachcombing.
Drag racing is a big part of our family and this coming summer our son will start racing with his very own dragster.

I feel our members know me best from doing onboardings, signing statutory declarations and through the years I worked at the plans room window.
Did you Know?
Lesley is CANS longest-standing employee! She joined CANS as an NSCC student in May 2001.
