Q&A

What do you like about working at CANS?

I really enjoy working in such a fast-paced industry. Our team, CANS’ board of directors, committee members, stakeholders and our members are all so incredibly passionate about what they do and advancing the interests of the industry – all of which is inspiring and makes me work harder to represent their best interests.

What is your favourite part of your workday?

Every day is different at CANS, especially in marketing/communications. I love that I have the opportunity to work with my teammates on a daily basis to help support our members and their businesses.

What sets CANS apart from your past jobs?

The people I work with. We have such a great group of people who value collaboration and teamwork, and understand how we each fit into the puzzle when working towards the common goal of ensuring CANS is a leader in the construction industry.

Some of Colleen’s hobbies:

I have a toddler who keeps me busy 24/7. When I’m not chasing after her, I love to:

  • do yoga,
  • drink copious amounts of coffee,
  • plan my endless home renovations (that I never get around to!)

Did you Know?

Colleen was an extra in the movie “The Scarlett Letter” for three months in 1995! (“I was in grade four and spent my paycheque on a typewriter.”)
